Shine your light - DANCE

As dancers we have a strong connection with rhythm. We are forged from rhythms and patterns, from the very start of our lives. Our bodies travel through life beating, pulsing, humming, vibrating, oscillating... each its own unique symphony, and each a part of the music of the universe. From the very basic to the intricate and complex, rhythms and patterns are part of what creates beauty in movement, and remind us we are a part of the Earth.

Weekly Class Schedule

All of our classes are delivered in UK TIME.

If you are interested in trying any of the disciplines please contact us via email (hello@theiya.org) and we can help you find the right class for you!

Connect with your inner light - YOGA

The practice of Yoga is so simple and yet so deep that it can leave you in awe of the rich tradition and ancient history of yoga.

Originating in India, Yoga has traditionally been passed down directly from teacher to student. It is an ancient method for people to achieve peace, of training the mind and tuning into the wisdom of the body to discover one’s own truth.

And it can be part of everyone’s life! And we are passionate about making the practice of yoga accessible to all, and offering a practice that is in accordance to people’s needs and realities.

IT'S MOVEMBER!!!

Theiya Arts is passionate about supporting health and wellbeing, and this month we want to direct our attention to supporting Men’s health, in particular men’s mental health.

We are running a special donation-based yoga workshop on Sunday 29th November, 3.30pm to 5pm. This workshop is open to all, men and women, and you don’t need to have done yoga before.

The workshop will aim to give everyone a positive mental and physical boost. We’ll start with a breathing exercise (pranayama), then get our bodies moving through a series of yoga postures. We’ll finish with a guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra).

The beauty of yoga is that you don’t have to be any particular shape, or have any particular ability to reap the benefits. Whether you are young or old, fit or not, yoga has the power to calm the mind and strengthen the body.

50% of funds raised will be donated to Movember (uk.movember.com), a leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale. The other 50% will be used to towards Theiya Art’s 2021 wellbeing activities that specifically focus on supporting health and wellbeing of men living in Scotland.

Give yourself the gift of this workshop, and know that any donation you make is going to make a difference.

To sign up, email hello@theiya.org and we’ll send you full details.
